Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, a longtime fundraiser for President Obama, said her gown was a Chanel design as she arrived for Wednesday's State Dinner. She was joined on the list of more than 326 guests by a major contingent of luminaries, including George Clooney, who was seated beside First Lady Obama at the Head Table, Sir Richard Branson, Warren Buffett, Harvey Weinstein, Damian Lewis, Rory McIlroy, and Justice Antonin Scalia.
