Follow The First Lady: For Campaign 2012, Michelle Obama Gets Her Own Twitter Account

Fresh off her first campaign events of 2012 on Wednesday in the battleground state of Virgina, First Lady Michelle Obama now has a Twitter account, launched today by Obama for America.

There are already 58,000 followers on the account that will be penned by staff.  Mrs. Obama will sign her own tweets "-MO" when she gets in the 140 character mood.

"We're excited today to launch @michelleobama as a new way for you to connect with First Lady Michelle Obama and the President's campaign," was the first tweet.

The account "will be managed by campaign staff, with any tweets from the First Lady herself signed "-mo."," read the second tweet.

Tweets from President Obama on @BarackObama are signed "-BO." The account has 11,862,70 followers.

"It’s not every day we get to welcome the First Lady of the United States to Twitter—happy to have you, @MichelleObama!," was tweeted by @BarackObama.
