Pennacook is a neighborhood non-profit organization that "offers community programs to foster healthy eating and active living for all ages," the White House said. It "has a child care center that helps kids exercise before and after school, teaches them about eating healthy through the use of a garden, and even participated in helping Mrs. Obama and National Geographic Kids break the Guinness World Record for most people doing jumping jacks in a 24 hour period this past October."
The fundraisers...
In Boston, Mrs. Obama will deliver remarks at two fundraisers at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston at 100 Northern Avenue, sponsored by New England Women for Change. Tickets for the 4:00 PM reception begin at $500 and go up to $5,000; for the 5:30 PM dinner, tickets begin at $5,000 and go up to $25,000 for Host Committee, which includes a photo op with the First Lady. Proceeds benefit Obama Victory Fund 2012.
Mrs. Obama is picking up her 2012 fund-raising pace: She visited Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C. last Friday, which also included a Let's Move! event. On Monday, she visited St. Louis and Kansas City for two fundraisers. At the end of February she was in Cincinnati, OH and Louisville, KY for fundraisers.
